UX Designer - Strawberry Portal

The main purpose for this role is to create a best in class user and employee experience for our internal product Strawberry Portal. 

The Strawberry Portal is meant to be our hotel’s number one assistant in providing a best in class, personalized, user & guest experience. We do this by providing a 360 view of our guests by combining data from multiple sources & fulfillment systems to enable operational excellence. We will also enable self-service capabilities in the form of a centralized knowledge base and administrative rights to hotel information. 

The tool has endless possibilities and we’re currently in an early stage of evolving the portal - an exciting time to join and have the opportunity to impact the future of the product. 

You will be working with the Product Owner, cross functional teams, hotel operations and key stakeholders in defining the user experience to understand the underlying needs for features we want to develop and maintain going forward. 

You will be playing a vital part in formulating and visually implementing the future for this product. 

This role will give you an opportunity to work across different business entities in Strawberry helping them use technology to support operational and business needs, as well as realizing strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing the user experience and user interface of the Strawberry portal
• Ensure that the UX is in line with the Strawberry portal vision, strategic goals and the success of the product.
• Responsible for the whole design process from the early stage of exploration to research, concept ideas and testing, delivering high end prototypes ready to be implemented by developers.
• Develop visually appealing designs for user and employee interfaces and ensure consistency to maintain a cohesive experience and brand identity. 
• Create user-centric design concepts, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
• Having an agile and data driven mindset, conducting user research and testing as well as analyzing existing data to understand users needs and preferences. 
• Collaborate with Product Owner and stakeholders to understand business requirements and user needs.
• Collaborate with other designers, and developers throughout the development process,
• Collaborate with other internal designers and brand to ensure that designs are in line with Strawberry brand and visual guidelines
• Create design documentation to facilitate collaboration and implementation. 
• Ensure designs are accessible 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education in UX, interactive design or similar.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in UX and UI design.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.
• Experience of agile methodologies.
• Knowledge and experience of conducting research, testing and analyzing user data.
• Comfortable in designing for both customer facing products and internal tools/systems.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to efficiently collaborate in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience from the hospitality business is a plus
