Nestled in the heart of Telemark, Dalen Hotel is a fairytale destination dating back to 1894. Built in the distinctive Norwegian Dragon Style, the hotel features 49 individually designed rooms, a grand hall, historic lounges, a fine dining restaurant, and lush gardens. Our award-winning hotel is renowned for its timeless charm, offering a unique experience to every guest.
About the Role
Start date: 01.05.2026
Responsibilities
• Responsibility for your assigned kitchen section
• Monitors inventory and expiration dates of raw goods
• Preparation and execution of dishes according to set standards
• Ensure high quality, taste, and presentation at all times
• Contribute to menu development and seasonal dishes
• Maintain good hygiene and follow HACCP routines
• Ensures work area remains clean
• Train and support commis chefs, breakfast chef and apprentices when needed
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role
• Professional culinary training is an advantage
• Passion for quality ingredients and classic techniques
• Knowledge of multiple cooking methods, equipment and service formats.
• Ability to stay calm, clean and quick during busy service.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• English language skills
