This is Sommerro
Sommerro is a house with restaurants, bars, cultural venues, meeting places, hotel rooms, and a large wellness department with Vestkantbadet (the West End Bath) at its heart. Here we have space for work, celebration, and relaxation; for gathering and for retreating. The building, which was the proud headquarters of Oslo Lysverker (Oslo's electric company) in the 1930s, is full of history and has long been an institution on Solli plass. The goal with Sommerro has been to not only give new life to the building but to give new energy to the entire city. On the steps of Sommerro, "light – power – warmth" is carved in stone. This is the legacy of the old Oslo Lysverker and the values we carry forward. We are already a large family that believes in the magic of human connection and the devil in the details. Together, we love big ideas, high ambitions, and broad teamwork. We know that by taking good care of each other, we become even better equipped to take care of our guests. Every day, we see that good colleagues who are given trust, security, and expectations go the extra mile. All so that the guest leaves with that little bit extra. Sommerro is looking for you who want to set a new standard for how people are received and cared for, and who are passionate about making all guests feel at home, whether they have traveled halfway across the globe or are just strolling in from across the street. The building is worth a visit in itself. You will ensure that people stay – and want to come back again and again!
