GENERAL MANAGER COMFORT HOTEL XPRESS CENTRAL STATION, OSLO

Comfort Hotel Xpress are highly functional budget hotels with prime locations. A hotel chain that promises to give our guests what they need, and skip the unnecessary. We have great locations, urban design and selected service (but the service we give is great!). We aim to be easy & likable. As in easy on the wallet, with easy access and last but definitely not least – easy on the planet. 

Comfort Xpress pioneered self-service city hotels in 2011, and 15 years later we are not sitting still. We are currently developing our guest experience further and we are looking for the right GM to lead our most efficient hotel in Oslo: Comfort Hotel Xpress Central Station. 

The hotel has 196 hotel rooms, self service check-in and out, a Barception & deli and a ground floor with social spaces. Comfort Hotel Xpress Central Station is well established next to Jernbanetorget; a high paced environment with guests and colleagues from all backgrounds. 

Your to-do-list as a Xpress GM:

• Drive operational excellence: As the General Manager, you are the hands-on leader on-site. You don’t just manage; you optimize processes, ensuring daily operations run like clockwork, from seamless check-ins to efficient room turnover.

• Maximize resourcefulness: You focus on high-impact results, managing budgets and P&L with a sharp eye for efficiency—delivering a great guest experience without the unnecessary frills.

• Lead the front line: You are a presence on the floor, not behind a desk. You lead, coach, and develop your team to provide warm, urban hospitality that keeps our guests coming back.

• Build the brand: You act as the CEO of your hotel, driving occupancy, local sales, and community connection to solidify our market position in the budget segment.

• Champion sustainability: You ensure our operations are lean, green, and sustainable, making our hotel a responsible and efficient player in the local market.

For this role you need to (get to) know Oslo like the back of your hand and be deeply connected to the community. • Operational & Leadership experience:. This could absolutely be your first GM role, with the correct combination of a minimum of 2-3 years of leadership experience and relevant education and/or experience. 

• Room for all: Your guests and teams come from different backgrounds, and a keen interest in people and highly tuned in social skills are a necessity. Our corporate language is English and this role is open to Non-Scandinavian speakers all though some Scandinavian language skills are appreciated.
