Are you a commercially sharp specialist who knows how to turn display and online video into a real driver of bookings and revenue? Do you want your work measured in incremental revenue and market share, not just impressions and views? If you're ready to build something with lasting commercial impact, come join a high-performing team!
We find ourselves at an exhilarating position. We've grown to over 250 hotels, and by breaking the historic 20 billion NOK revenue milestone, we have proven that our formula works. Over the last two years, we have transformed how marketing and digital sales operate at Strawberry – shifting from a support function to a commercial growth engine. While this work has earned multiple industry awards, we are far from done, and we need a sharp, proactive Display and Online Video specialist to help us push performance further and unlock the channel's full commercial potential.
As our Digital Specialist – Display and Online Video, your main role is to plan, execute, and optimize display and online video campaigns that directly drive bookings and revenue across our 250+ hotels. You'll own the channel end-to-end – from strategy, budget, and media buying to daily optimization and commercial reporting – and be the go-to expert on what's working, what isn't, and why it matters to the bottom line. You will be responsible for the Nordics, with focus on our largest markets Sweden and Norway.
You'll sit in our Digital Sales team and collaborate closely with commercial, revenue management, and content colleagues to make sure display and video investments are tightly connected to business priorities, not run as a standalone media channel.
(We're not looking for someone who just traffics banners and reports on reach. We want someone who runs this channel like a business, ties it to commercial outcomes, and makes us best in class on display and online video.)
Plan, launch, and optimize programmatic display and online video campaigns (e.g. DV360, The Trade Desk, YouTube, connected TV) to drive direct bookings and incremental revenue.
Manage display retargeting with clever solutions and new thinking, maximising incremental value
Own budget allocation, media buying, and pacing across campaigns and platforms, continuously reallocating spend toward what drives the best commercial return.
Drive initiatives proactively. Take full ownership. Spot commercial opportunities, ask the brave questions ("Have we tested this? Is this the right audience for this hotel segment?"), and run with them.
Work hands-on with programmatic buying, audience targeting, brand safety, viewability, and frequency management across the full display and OLV ecosystem.
Translate performance data into commercial recommendations for leadership – where to invest more, where to pull back, and what it means for revenue targets.
Manage day-to-day contact with DSPs, ad networks, and media partners, negotiating placements, rates, and inventory access that improve commercial outcomes.
Stay ahead of platform updates, measurement changes (e.g. cookie deprecation, MMM, incrementality testing), and new inventory, and proactively assess the commercial relevance for our portfolio.
Navigate a complex multi-branded hotel ecosystem across Strawberry, chains and hotels to ensure budget is allocated where it drives the most commercial value, with minimal audience overlap.
You are a curious, commercially minded display and online video specialist who naturally digs beneath surface-level metrics and has the confidence to translate campaign data into clear business recommendations. You think like a media buyer and a business owner at the same time – always asking what a krona of spend actually returns.
You are pragmatic and action-driven, thriving in high-tempo environments where you know when to move fast rather than wait for perfection. You take ownership, challenge the status quo and are comfortable turning insights into action.
You might currently be working at a digital agency, media consultancy or trading desk and feel ready to move to the client side, taking end-to-end ownership of display and online video with direct accountability for commercial results. Or you might already be in-house and ready for your next chapter.
Strong hands-on experience running programmatic display and online video campaigns across platforms such as DV360, The Trade Desk, YouTube Ads or similar DSPs.
Hands-on experience with ad operations, including ad trafficking, creative setup, QA and troubleshooting. Experience with dynamic creative, feed management and feed-based campaigns is a strong advantage.
5+ years of experience in digital media and campaign management, combined with strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect media performance directly to business results – including revenue, cost per booking and marginal ROAS.
Comfortable owning media budgets end-to-end, including allocation, pacing and optimization, and negotiating with media partners.
Strong understanding of audience strategy, retargeting, frequency, viewability, brand safety and media quality across the display and online video ecosystem.
Solid understanding of attribution and incrementality, with the ability to build and communicate a clear business case for media investment to non-marketing stakeholders.
Curious and proactive by nature
