Bring your craft to the kitchen at Hobo Copenhagen
You care about good food, enjoy a busy service and know how much a kitchen depends on the people in it. Now you’re ready to help build something new.
We’re looking for chefs to join Hobo Copenhagen in full-time positions, with a primary focus on our evening à la carte restaurant. You’ll also contribute to the food offering in our all-day bar, working as part of one kitchen team.
Our restaurant offers dishes made for sharing, good ingredients and confident flavours. We’re looking for people who bring care to their cooking, ideas to the conversation and a willingness to support the team.
Together with the Head Chef and your kitchen colleagues, you’ll help build a modern kitchen culture where everyone feels welcome and respected. We value calm, clear communication, constructive feedback and helping each other through a busy service. Everyone should feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas and learning.
Your role will include:
Preparing and cooking dishes with attention to flavour, seasoning and presentation, keeping quality consistent throughout service.
Looking after your section, planning your preparation and keeping your station organised and ready for a busy evening.
Contributing ideas as we develop dishes, seasonal menus and the everyday food offering across our restaurant and all-day bar.
Working closely with the service team to find the right pace, communicate clearly and take care of dietary requirements.
Making thoughtful use of ingredients, keeping track of stock and helping reduce food waste.
Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures, including checks and documentation in e-smiley.
Sharing knowledge, helping colleagues and leaving the kitchen ready for the next service.
You have professional kitchen experience, preferably from a busy à la carte restaurant, and feel comfortable running your own section.
You enjoy cooking food that people want to gather around. You’re attentive to the details, curious about ingredients and techniques, and open to both sharing ideas and learning from others.
You take responsibility for your work and contribute to a supportive atmosphere. You listen, share your knowledge and treat colleagues with respect, whatever their role or experience. When the pace picks up, you communicate clearly and work with the team to find solutions.
Relevant culinary training is welcome, and we also value strong practical experience. You can communicate confidently in English and are comfortable working evenings and weekends.
At Hobo, we bring a professional, passionate and playful approach to hospitality. We want that to be felt in the kitchen as well as in the guest experience.
You’ll join during the opening journey, with the opportunity to contribute to menus, routines and team culture from the beginning. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and a team that values good food, clear communication and room to develop.
