Første september 2022 åpnet Sommerro dørene på Solli plass. På rekordtid har huset blitt et av byens mest populære steder å møtes, spise, overnatte, koble av og lade opp. Vårt mål er at alle på Sommerro skal gå ut døra med mer energi enn da de kom. Med så mange forventningsfulle gjester, trenger vi enda flere engasjerte og serviceinnstilte kollegaer, som ønsker å strekke seg det lille ekstra for å skape ekstraordinære opplevelser – i stil med vårt helt ekstraordinære hus.

Det vil være ditt ansvar å bidra til å bygge opp hotellets kjøkken sammen med ledelsen. Hotellet har to egne restauranter, to barer, og en stor møte- og arrangementsavdeling. I tillegg til dette vår private utleievilla, Villa Inkognito. Dette vil kreve stor grad av tverrfaglig samarbeid, koordinering med hotelledelse og andre interessenter.

Som Sous chef vil du være ansvarlig sammen med kjøkkensjef for den operasjonelle og administrative driften av kjøkkenet og rapportere til  Head Chef. Vi er Sommerrohuset, en del av nabolaget, så din evne til å få folk til å kjenne seg velkommen er avgjørende. Du vil jobbe tett med kolleger og øvrige avdelinger ved hotellet. Du vil være ansvarlig for å lede, motivere og utvikle dine medarbeidere, følge opp driften i henhold til Sommerro standard, IK-mat/HACCAP og resultatmål. Du er selvstendig og kan lede et team samtidig som du må være en lagspiller. Du har blikk for det ekstraordinære og slår deg aldri til ro med godt nok. Du er arbeidsom, målbevisst og har et smittende humør. 

Dette er en givende, krevende og svært sentral stilling i Sommerro huset. 

Dine ansvarsområder: 

  • Ansvar for drift og utvikling av din kjøkkenavdeling sammen med  Head Chef
  • Personalansvar, utvikling av medarbeiderne i egen avdeling 
  • Bidra aktivt til å utvikle hotellets unike meny konsepter slik at de er i tråd med hotellets øvrige standarder
  • Bidra til å vedlikeholde internkontroll systemer i henhold til gjeldende forskrifter og interne systemer. Herunder matsikkerhet, matsvinn, IK mat/HACCAP.
  • Ansvarlig for å kvalitetssikre drift og leveranser for egen avdeling sammen med Executive Head Chef

Kvalifikasjoner:

  • Erfaring fra lignende stillinger
  • God kjennskap til den matfaglige bransjen, nasjonalt og internasjonalt
  • Engelsk eller skandinavisk språk
  • Selvstendig, strukturert, nøyaktig og pålitelig
  • Stor arbeidskapasitet med evne til å håndtere flere saker parallelt 
  • Evne til raskt å tilegne seg ny kunnskap og formidle den til andre
  • Gode samarbeidsevner – du vil ha mye kontakt internt og eksternt
  • God kommunikasjonsevne muntlig og digitalt
  • Fagbrev fra relevante fag
  • Kompetanse og erfaring med relevante digitale verktøy
