Amerikalinjen åpnet i mars 2019 og er et urbant boutiquehotell midt i hjertet av Oslo. Med 122 rom, unike opplevelser og rik historie har vi etablert oss som nummer én på TripAdvisor i Norge! Vårt varme, elektriske og inspirerende hus har plassert Amerikalinjen i det øvre siktet av hoteller i Norge siden starten. 

Amerikalinjen er nå et av de ledende high-end hotellene i Oslo. Hver dag strekker vi oss etter å skape en destinasjon hvor lokale og tilreisende vil få oppleve personlige og unike opplevelser. 

Rollen som Hovmester på Amerikalinjen gir deg muligheten til å være en sentral rolle i utviklingen av vårt Brasserie. Din oppgave vil være å etablere og opprettholde høy kvalitet og ekstraordinær service, samt posisjonere Amerikalinjen som hotell nummer 1 for de som er på utkikk etter det lille ekstra og skreddersydde opplevelser.

Amerikalinjen tilbyr flere spennende mat- og drikkekonsept, alle dypt inspirert av vår rike historie og beliggenhet. Samtlige serveringssteder har et målrettet fokus på det lokale markedet, og vi har en målrettet strategi for å være markedsledende innenfor respektive segment.

 

ATLAS , et levende, lekent brasserie som bringer smaker fra ulike hjørner av Europa, og som danner fundamentet for den fantastiske og nyskapende kulinariske scenen inspirert av New York. Atlas Brasserie serverer frokost, lunsj, brunch og middag og ligger midt i hjertet av Oslo! 

HAVEN, som utgjør en stor del av Brasseriet, er en grønn oase i bakgården av hotellet. Her inviteres gjestene til å nyte både drinker, mat fra Brasserie og muligheten til eksklusiv leie av lokalet.

 

Hovmesteren vil samarbeide med andre mat og drikke outlets, som tilsammen utgjør det vi ser på som et hus fullt av muligheter. PIER 42, vår prisbelønte moderne og innovative cocktailbar, har mottatt anerkjennelse for blant annet Beste Bartender, Beste Team og Beste Cocktailprogram. Betraktet som en ledende cocktaildestinasjon i Oslo, har Pier 42 satt standarden for førsteklasses drikkemenyer og serviceopplevelser. GUSTAV, en New York inspirert jazzklubb- og eventscene, skaper intime øyeblikk med sitteplasser for 90 personer. Komplett med egen bar og kjøkken. 





Rollen

Vi ser etter en Hovmester som er sulten på å ta eierskap og formidle høyt engasjement. Du bør ha fingeren på pulsen, ha et godt overblikk og se på hver gjest som mulighet til å overgå alle forventninger. 

 

Rollen din har ansvaret for å koordinere serveringspersonalet i Brasseriet. Stillingen inkluduerer å organsiere serveringsområde, veilede og inspirere personalet, håndtere og kvalitetssikre gjesteopplevelsen, gi vin- og drikkeanbefalinger, og sikre at totalopplevelsen opprettholder høy kvalitet og servicestandarder. Rollen som hovmester spiller en sentral rolle i å skape en positiv atmosfære og bidra til et velfungerende serveringsmiljø. 

 

Vi ser for oss

  • Tidligere erfaring som servitør, kelner eller annen relevant erfaring innen restaurantbransjen.
  • Utdanning innen mat, restaurantstyring eller hotellstyring er en positiv faktor. Fagbrev er et pluss, men ikke et krav.
  • Skaper en positiv atmosfære, gir støtte til teamet og inspirerer til felles måloppnåelse.
  • Har evnen til å organisere og opprettholde oversikt over restaurantens daglige drift.
  • Har en genuin interesse for å levere høykvalitetsservice og skape minneverdige gjesteopplevelser.
  • Evne til å håndtere gjesteforespørsler og -klager på en profesjonell måte.
  • Forståelse for hva et high-end produkt innebærer og bærer seg selv deretter
  • Kan veilede gjester i valg av vin og mat.
  • Ansvarlig for effektiv administrasjon av reservasjoner og arrangementer, samt sikring av jevn drift.
  • Samarbeider sømløst med både kjøkkenpersonell og andre ansatte for å sikre en helhetlig restaurantopplevelse.
  • Kjenner til og overholder helse- og sikkerhetsstandarder knyttet til matservering og restaurantdrift.
  • Takler stressende situasjoner og er fleksibel med arbeidstidene.
  • Viser stor interesse for mat og drikke, og er motivert for personlig og faglig utvikling.
  • Ser utfordringer som en mulighet for vekst og har en positiv tilnærming til problemstillinger.

Brasserie ATLAS, is a vibrant, playful brasserie that brings flavors from various corners of Europe, forming the foundation for the fantastic and innovative culinary scene inspired by New York. The Brasserie serves breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner, located in the heart of Oslo!

HAVEN, a significant part of the Brasserie, is a green oasis in the hotel's backyard. Here, guests are invited to enjoy drinks, fantastic food from the Brasserie, and the opportunity for exclusive venue rental.

The Maitre’d will collaborate with other food and beverage outlets, collectively forming what we see as a house full of possibilities. PIER 42, our award-winning modern and innovative cocktail bar, has received recognition for Best Bartender, Best Team, and Best Cocktail Program, establishing itself as a leading cocktail destination in Oslo. GUSTAV, a New York-inspired jazz club and event venue, creates intimate moments with seating for 90 people, complete with its own bar and kitchen.











The Role

 

We are looking for a Maitre’d who is eager to take ownership and demonstrate genuine engagement. You should have your finger on the pulse, have a good overview, and view each guest as an opportunity to exceed all expectations.

 

Your role is responsible for coordinating the service staff in the Brasserie. The position includes organizing the service area, guiding and inspiring the staff, managing and quality-assuring the guest experience, providing wine and beverage recommendations, and ensuring that the overall experience maintains high quality and service standards. The role of Maitre’d plays a central role in creating a positive atmosphere and contributing to a well-functioning service environment.



We believe that you

  • Have previous experience as a waiter, server, or other relevant experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Have a background in food, restaurant management, or hotel management. It is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Creates a positive atmosphere, supports the team, and inspires common goal achievement.
  • Has the ability to organize and maintain an overview of the restaurant's daily operations.
  • Has a genuine interest in delivering high-quality service and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Can handle guest requests and complaints professionally.
  • Understand what a high-end product is and carry yourself accordingly
  • Can guide guests in the selection of wine and food.
  • Is responsible for the efficient administration of reservations and events, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Collaborates seamlessly with both kitchen staff and other employees to ensure a holistic restaurant experience.
  • Is familiar with and adheres to health and safety standards related to food service and restaurant operations.
  • Handles stressful situations and is flexible with working hours.
  • Shows great interest in food and drinks and is motivated for personal and professional development.
  • Views challenges as an opportunity for growth and has a positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Is driven to achieve goals and successes for the department.
  • Creates a welcoming and positive atmosphere, spreading good energy in the workplace.
  • Excels in communication, both oral and written and has good presentation skills.
  • Is fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
