Head of Group Applications

We are currently seeking a Head of Group Applications to lead a newly formed department and become a member of the Technology leadership team. This role will be key, as you’ll contribute towards our success within efficiency, automation and security for our group applications that the company runs on; ensuring our processes and infrastructure align, driving a digital culture. This role will work closely with both technology and Group Business Units that are stakeholders for the domains and platforms that you support. Head of Group Applications will be a key resource in supporting enterprise, group & HQ departments in supporting the growth and profitability of Strawberry across all hotels and services. 

What you will be doing: 

• Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a forward thinking technology strategy, aligned with Strawberry’s overall vision
  • Lead the team in delivering innovative solutions, that enhance guest and employee satisfaction and streamline internal processes
  • Define the overall strategy for how tech can best support business through group applications
• Team Management:
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture.
• Application Management:
  • Oversee the design, development and maintenance of custom applications and software systems tailored to the unique needs of Strawberry business.
  • Ensure applications are user-friendly, reliable, secure and aligned with industry best practices.
• Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and third-party partners ensuring effective collaboration, cost optimization, and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Evaluate and select vendors to support the company's technology roadmap.
• Innovation, data & integration:
  • Identify emerging technologies and trends.
  • Drive integration of new and existing technologies together with business and tech teams.
  • Ensure quality master data.
• Budget Oversight:
  • Develop and manage the technology budget, ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Monitor expenditure to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Establish and maintain robust data security and compliance measures.
  • Protect sensitive guest and employee information and ensure data integrity across all applications
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely and understand other departments data and technology needs.
  • Align solutions to support other departments’ objectives.

We think you have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven leadership experience in managing technology teams, ideally in the hospitality industry
• Strong understanding of enterprise hospitality operations, such as Finance, Sales & CRM, HR & Automation
• Knowledge of industry-specific software and systems, such as PMS, RMS, CRS, POS, MICE
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing technology strategies
• Excellent project management skills and a track record of successful technology project delivery
