As the leader, you will oversee all aspects of the bar operations, and ensure the maintenance of impeccable service standards.

Named after the iconic Pier 42 in New York, our cocktail bar is designed to blend the heritage of Amerikalinjen’s cocktail culture with an unparalleled drinks menu reflecting the modern-day explorer. Our current signature cocktails showcase art from the destinations connected to the Norwegian America Line – Norway and New York, in a liquid form. Pier 42 in Manhattan was the passengers’ first encounter with New York and the new life “over there”.
With several recognitions for Best Bartenders, Best Team, and Best Cocktail Program + many more, Pier 42 is considered a leading cocktail destination in Oslo & Norway.
Amerikalinjen offers several exciting food and beverage concepts, all deeply inspired by our rich history and location. All dining establishments have a targeted focus on the local market, and we have a strategic plan to be a market leader in their respective segments.

The role
We are searching for a Bar Manager ready to take ownership and demonstrate genuine engagement.
The role involves both operational and strategic tasks. You will have overall responsibility for the bar operation, including inventory management and staff scheduling. In this position, you will create and update an exceptional cocktail menu, showcasing on-brand creativity and a deep understanding of mixology trends. You will be responsible for training, motivating, and leading the team of bartenders, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment. It is required that you develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients and spirits. To secure and maximize profit, you will have a key role in monitoring and controlling beverage costs and budgets.

The position is 100% and based in Oslo. The position is both daytime and evening. Weekend work is expected. The position reports to the Director of Food and Beverage and plays a key role in the hotel's extended management team.
