Director of Tech Architecture & Strategy

We’re on the hunt for an innovative Director of Tech Architecture & Strategy. Your mission is to set the overall strategy for the architecture and technical development of the Strawberry Tech Platform across business units, hotel chains, applications, technologies and business process areas and franchise! 

This role will be a part of the leadership group in Technology, and report directly to Senior Vice President Technology. You will not have any directly reporting staff, but will be a strategic role. 

What you will be doing:

• Oversee Enterprise Architecture
• Lead the development and implementation of the enterprise architecture framework, and ensure alignment of IT infrastructure and applications with overall business strategy.
• Lead the architecture forum to support collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement among architects and other stakeholders.
• Define architectural, data and integration principles for the platform
• Coach the various architects and development teams according to the defined strategy and principles
• Advice SVP Tech, leadergroup Tech and other relevant stakeholders in strategic technical matters
• Create and lead a cross-functional forum, bringing together business and tech stakeholders to explore and implement technological solutions that enhance employee processes and workflows.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors and partners, in close collaboration with Tech Sourcing and System Owners
• Work closely with the internal department, to make sure new development and Tech projects are run according to tech strategy and principles
• Mitigate risks related to technology, services and architecture
• Keep up to date with relevant development in technical areas
• Actively take part in dialogues and projects that can improve Strawberry’s processes and result
• Be involved in the companies technical recruitment processes
  
  

We are looking for a person with:

• High ability to navigate, facilitate and motivate in a landscape with strong stakeholders and partly autonomous business units, including business units, such as Franchise 
• A commercially driven mindset supporting the group’s business managers in increasing their revenue and profitability, while at the same time balancing information security risks against costs and perceived challenges in mitigating such risks. 
• Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate with both business people and technical specialists at different levels, in a non-technical language where required, and with focus on the impact for the person and business unit that you communicate with. 
• Experience in inspiring and leading teams in a matrix organization and change process
• Ability to drive and govern critical stakeholder management processes
• Ability to clearly articulate messages up and down the organization to influence others and move toward a common vision.
• Great active listening skills and ability to understand existing business processes
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
• Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
• Ability to work in both teams and alone
• Structured but with good people skills and ability to solve problems
• Good understanding of English, written and oral
• Security Clearance record

We think that you have: 

• Master in Data Engineering or Business Administration and Leadership or relevant competence 
• Experience from leading teams
• Experience from handling vendors
• Experience from bridging gaps between business and tech
• Knowledge of ITIL and Scrum

We do not offer a remote position, you will need to be based in our office in Stockholm or Oslo.
