Want to be a Sous Chef in the heart of Oslo?

See you on the 13th floor! 

We are looking for a new Sous Chef to join the management team at Norda's kitchen. Are you a skilled chef who is good at communicating and leading other people? Then this could be the role for you!

As Sous Chef at Norda, your duties will mainly be:

  • Co-responsibility for leading the kitchen team. 
  • Be the deputy to the Head Chef when needed.
  • Involvement in menu and concept development at all times.
  • Follow up on quality and presentation.
  • Food production with consistently high quality.
  • Follow up food safety routines.
  • Help limit waste.
  • Contribute to an excellent service level in close dialogue with the rest of the team.

Working hours will involve shift work on both weekdays and weekends.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have experience as a chef from the restaurant industry and are used to focusing on high quality and service in a busy everyday life. Ideally, you have experience leading a kitchen team.
  • It is desirable that you have a certificate as a chef in addition to relevant experience, but experience can outweigh a certificate.
  • You are a skilled cook with good structure and organization of your work.
  • You have a great passion for Nordic cuisine and want to learn more.
  • You are motivated by being in a creative environment and are ready to provide input.
  • You want to develop as a leader and enjoy motivating others to success.

Arbeidstid vil innebære skiftarbeid både på hverdager og helg.

Hvem er du?

  • Du har erfaring som kokk fra restaurantbransjen og er vant til fokus på høy kvalitet og service i en travel hverdag. Helst har du erfaring med å lede et kjøkkenteam.
  • Det er ønskelig at du har fagbrev som kokk i tillegg til relevant erfaring, men erfaring kan veie opp for fagbrev.
  • Du er en dyktig kokk med god struktur og organisering av ditt arbeid.
  • Du har stor lidenskap for nordiske, internasjonale og lokale råvarer.
  • Du motiveres av å være i et kreativt miljø og er klar til å komme med innspill.
  • Du ønsker å utvikle deg som leder og motivere andre til å oppnå suksess.
