We’re seeking a dynamic Conference and Events Supervisor to join our team and help us deliver exceptional conferences, meetings and memorable events while maintaining a high work standard with our exceptional team.
Position Overview:
As the Meetings and Events Supervisor, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of various meetings and events. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure every detail aligns with our vision and meets the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible to operate and maintain technical Audio / Video / Lighting equipment and also train staff on best way of working with these items. This is a hands on position that has a 60% (Physical) / 40% (Mental) work balance. You will also advocate safety at work to the highest level and make sure staff are looked after, physically and mentally.
You will report directly to the Meeting & Events Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the setup and execution of meetings and events, ensuring all logistics are managed effectively at a premium level.
Collaborate with third party technicians and vendors to understand their needs and objectives, providing solutions for the needs of each event.
Coordinate with suppliers to secure necessary services and resources.
Manage event staffing and making sure we have the correct skill sets for each challenge ahead.
Supervise, mentor and inspire the events team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing problem solving work environment.
Evaluate the success of each event through feedback and metrics, making recommendations for improvements to make sure we learn the lessons needed to up our game and constantly improve service delivery.
Operate and maintain technical Audio / Video / Lighting equipment used in our conferences and events.
Make sure that all staff follow the Clarion Hotel premium brand standards and live and work by the company motto.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in event planning, management, or a related field.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in event management software and tools as well.
Technical experience with Audio / Video / Lighting equipment and setups.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
