Data Architect

We're looking for a visionary Data Architect, that will be responsible for design and implementation of the overall architecture of the organization's data landscape and will work closely with the Information architect, solution architect and enterprise architect to ensure technical aspects of data storage, integration, and management.

This includes designing of data models, flows, and integration strategies to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the enterprise. The Data Architect will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision making by providing a solid foundation for our data warehousing, data lakes, and other data platforms and making data accessible to a wide audience within the organisation.

What You'll Do

• Data Modeling & Design:
  •  Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  •  Design and implement data warehouses, data lakes, and other data platforms infrastructure and configurations.
  • Define data quality rules and standards.
  • Ensure data consistency and integrity across all systems, implementing appropriate validation and monitoring processes.
• Data Integration:
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and data flows primarily for our data Warehouse.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and cloud
    platforms.
• Data Governance & Security:
  • Implement data governance policies and procedures ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA ) in coordination/guidance from Strawberry’s DPO.
  • Develop and maintain data lineage and data provenance.
• Technology & Tools:
  • Evaluate and recommend data management tools and technologies (e.g., databases, data warehousing tools, cloud platforms).
  • Stay abreast of the latest data architecture trends and technologies.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work effectively with data engineers, data scientists, and other data professionals.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect or in a related role.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling, star schema).
• Experience with data warehousing and data lake architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Experience with data integration tools and technologies (e.g., ETL/ELT tools, APIs).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This role is based in Stockholm. Fluency in English is required for this position, however Swedish is not needed.
