QA Automation Engineer

We are now looking for our new QA Automation Engineer to join the Strawberry Tech team. You will be highly involved in driving quality work in the development to ensure that we deliver high quality products to end-users and our developers alike. 

What you will be doing

We’re on an exciting journey of accelerating our test automation efforts for our native apps and web. Our aim is to increase the amount of automated testing, and you will be an integral part of driving this initiative. This role includes actively identifying and preventing bugs by coaching the team in testing strategies and automation, as well as pair-programming tests with the developers, participating in code reviews with team members and of course being involved with the overarching product development. You will work on facilitating automation through infrastructure and tooling, with a high focus on developer experience. 

You will work in a cross functional product team, alongside developers, designers and everything in between. You will also work together with other QA automation engineers and testers in the QA chapter initiative, contributing to the company wide quality work. 

Who we think you are

We are looking for an experienced software engineer, with a high interest in automation, testing and the infrastructure around it. We believe that you are a driving force behind software quality who will help the team continuously expand this area within Strawberry. You are full of initiative, and you have a great sense of agency, using your creativity to solve problems independently.

Your colleagues would say you

• Know your way around a common testing framework, like Playwright or Cypress.
• Have experience with a general purpose programming language, like Typescript or Java
• Are interested in learning more about cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
• Have a good understanding of software architecture, and how they are designed
• Never stop being curious and love learning about new ways of working
• Ensure a high bar for quality and reliability within your team
• Coach others to help them develop as engineers
• You don’t just write code; you help to design the overall solution
• Are sought after within your team for help in solving challenging problems

Details:

The office is our primary work location, but we offer a hybrid working model for a more flexible working life.

The HQ in Stockholm will be your working place.
