This role, will from the start, be a combined role where you will work both as our CRS platform owner & as a Business Analyst for the Group Applications department at Strawberry. For the potential future,  this role might evolve to also take technical  ownership of Synxis CRS (Sabre) & Channel manager system RateTiger (eRevmax)

On the CRS part you will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements & needs towards our Central Reservation System “Choice Edge” - owned and developed by our franchiser Choice Hotels International (CHI) based in the US.
Your most important stakeholders will be our Revenue department, Sales organisation, Distribution department, Solution architects and our Digital engineering department

You will be the one writing, driving and securing technical & functional requirements towards CHI to secure that Strawberry can be competitive in the digital market. You will have technical ownership & responsibility towards CHI and you will lead joint initiatives & projects together with internal stakeholders towards CHI and the CRS area. You will gather and collect business requirements to be able to increase operational excellence and revenue income in our digital channels connected to the CRS.

On the Business Analyst part you will work closely with our other platform owners within Group Applications and their stakeholders to review and analyze key business metrics to be able to propose improvements and present potential findings to both our platform owners and their key stakeholders within the organisation.

  • CRM & Loyalty Platform
  • MarTech Platform 
  • HR Platform

This role will give you an opportunity to be responsible for your own domain and drive development and innovation together with your stakeholders, at the same time you will also be able to work on your analytical skills by working cross functional within the Group Applications team helping the other platform owners with key insights on development & process improvements, this to be able to deliver on business strategic goals.

Key responsibilities:

CRS Platform:

  • Keep up to date with trends & technologies within the CRS domain
  • Assist in negotiations with CRS vendor
  • Lead, drive & plan meetings with CRS vendor
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs
  • Have a clear overview of connected 3rd party channels and how they work from a technical standpoint.
  • Secure timeline and delivery on new development items for both the  functional & technical roadmap towards the CRS vendor
  • Gather requirements from internal stakeholders such as Revenue, Distribution, Sales, Digital Engineering etc. align on priorities & write functional & technical requirement specifications
  • Work closely with solution architects to set and secure the future architectural landscape for the CRS
  • Initiate and oversee system improvements, development process, but leave the configuration, setup & rollout to others.

Business Analyst:

  • Identify and communicate with key stakeholders
  • Gather, review and analyze business processes & data, including KPIs & other key metrics using your analytical skills.
  • Liaise between various business departments and stakeholders
  • Assess options for process improvements, including business process modeling
  • Create & update documentation regarding various projects, processes and business operations
  • Collaborate with platform owners, project managers and cross-functional teams
  • Build business cases and present to management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Deep technical & functional knowledge around Central Reservation Systems (CRS´s) within the hospitality industry
  • Experience in operational work within any CRS 
  • Experience from working with functional & technical requirement towards CRS vendors
  • Technical understanding on how CRS´s communicate with online distribution channels, fulfillment systems & other related 3rd party channels/systems
  • Proven success in stakeholder management  
  • Confidence and ability to communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions
  • Technical skills & background in working with HR,- CRM & Loyalty,- MarTech & Finance platform systems 
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in business analytics, gather business information and present insights
  • Familiar with industry technologies to be able to gather & present relevant data
