We’re looking for a Head Waiter who knows that every unforgettable visit begins with a great first impression and carries through every interaction.

Our hotel is located in the direct indoor access to the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport terminal and the train station. Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport boasts 505 rooms, extensive meeting facilities, a rooftop restaurant, and a spa. Our congress center can accommodate events ranging from intimate meetings to gatherings of up to 1000 participants, with meeting spaces on four floors from the top floor view to the welcoming and spacious basement level.

As a part of our Meetings & Events you excel in customer service, have a passion for food and create unforgettable experiences for our guests. We are seeking a passionate and talented person to join our dynamic team.

What will You be doing?

• Create together with the team an unforgettable overall experience for the Conference and Banquet  guests.
• Lead and distribute the work and scheduling within the department in consultation with the immediate manager.
• Train, mentor, and motivate the staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Oversee and lead the day-to-day operations ensuring smooth service.
• Manage reservations and special guest requests in collaboration with our Meeting Planners.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and timely delivery of orders.
• Assist in handling customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
• Maintain the highest standards of service and customer experience.
• Constantly work for increased profitability and quality and to reach set goals for the department, as well as being a role model in driving additional sales.
• Develop routines for the department together with the immediate manager and the team.
• Being hands on in the daily operations supporting the team.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

This position requires working varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. 

Is this you?

• 2-3 years experience in a similar supervisor role in hospitality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A passion for delivering high-quality customer service.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach. 
• Turning challenges into opportunities, managing multiple tasks, and keeping high standards, even when things get tough.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English is required, and professional Finnish language skills are a plus.
