We are looking for a Sous Chef - Pastry, that is a dynamic, warm and professional.
You will play a crucial role in creating the Sommerro experience and our guest promise: "We give ENERGY to the city."

The successful candidate will work alongside the management team as part of a strong and effective department, overseeing the operation of our pastry and dessert offerings, including events catering, breakfast, room service and three of our in-house restaurants and coffee bar:
Ekspedisjonshallen: An all-day dining venue offering a menu of classic brasserie favourites.
Tak & Izakaya: Our Japanese-Nordic restaurant with unique and innovative dishes.
To Søstre: An elegant venue that serves afternoon tea.
Kafe Lucy: Our in house coffee bar offering seasonal pastries, cakes and sandwich to both in-house guest and visiting customer.
What you’ll do, except cooking wonderful food...
Maintaining the integrity of our brand’s standards in line with the leaders in your department
Support the Executive pastry chef with ideas and techniques while striving to innovate and evolve the menu development
Have a firm grip on maintaining Sommerro’s food quality and food waste standards
Make sure that the guest experience is at the heart of what you do

The qualifications we’re looking for...
Relevant culinary qualifications and similar experience, as part of a fast-moving culinary team in a busy and dynamic environment
Have a good understanding of the business with a proven track record of working in large teams across multiple outlets
Fluency in English or a Scandinavian language
Visa or relevant passport to work in Norway (applications without this will not be reviewed)
