Location
Norway, Oslo
Amerikalinjen isn’t just a hotel; it’s a vibrant, award-winning urban pulse at the heart of Oslo. As a Michelin Key property and Forbes Travel Guide Star Award Winner, we represent the pinnacle of modern luxury. We don’t just host guests; we curate the story of their journey.
This summer, we are looking for more than "receptionists." We are looking for a service champion. The receptionist at Amerikalinjen means being the "spider in the web." You will handle everything from administrative tasks and technical issues to guest requests and emergencies—all while guests are waiting to check in and the guest journey starts before the guests book a room with us. We empower you to own the floor. You won’t just be following a script; you will be applying a problem-solving mindset and decision making skills to ensure every guest experience is seamless, eclectic, and unforgettable.
We are looking for the "extremely dedicated"—those who identify with our history of "people in motion" and want to lead the next chapter.
The Problem Solver: You don’t see obstacles; you see opportunities to flex your decision-making muscles.
The Culture Carrier: You are inspired by our heritage. You don’t just check people in; you vividly convey the story of a building that has defined Oslo since 1919.
The Service Elite: You understand the nuance of Forbes-level service—balancing warmth and personality with absolute precision.
The Seamless Collaborator: You are a natural team player who proactively supports colleagues across all departments to ensure our collective service is flawless.
The High-Energy Professional: You thrive in a "vibrant" environment where the lobby feels like the center of the world.
Motivated by Excellence: You provide first-class, personal service that aligns with Michelin standards.
Integrity: You demonstrate honesty and a "YES" attitude in everything you do.
Agility: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and take initiative during the quiet moments.
Communication: Strong English (written/spoken) is required; a Scandinavian language is a distinct advantage.
Technical Edge: Experience with the Mews system is a major plus.
Commitment: Available from May to August/September (rotating shifts: weekend, morning, evening, and night as required).
Beyond the prestige of working in Oslo's most exciting hotel, you will receive unique training within a world-class service culture. This is your opportunity to participate in the demanding and creative process of operating a market-leading destination.
Start date : Upon agreement
