Annika at Front Office has been working at Strawberry for more than 30 years (!) and has also won the award 'The Employee of the Year' one year. Read about her insights from working within Guest Services.
What makes you proud of working at Strawberry?
I always get really happy when I step inside the doors of the hotel! It’s a cosy atmosphere, like arriving at a second home. I really think we have succeeded so well with the feeling and I know that our guests also feel that way. If I have been away for a while, I am always looking forward to returning! Colleagues become good friends, we really respect and care about each other. It’s also a privilege to work with people from different cultures.
What might you tell your friends about your job?
That as a Front Office Crew you get close to guests and can joke with them, at the same time as you can be professional. There are so many wonderful meetings!
Anything more specific?
Everything from being a problem solver and detective, to being able to fix that little extra for those guests who are staying at our hotel. I can really be my true self in my role and take my own initiatives. I still learn new things, even though I have been here for many years. When working at the front office it really is "no two days are alike" - you never get tired. It gives you so much energy!
