On 25 October 2022, everyone at the Swedish Head Office was invited to join in on a Diwali celebration. Our Indian colleagues provided some cultural storytelling and delicious Indian cuisine!
During the event, candles were placed around the atrium. Priya Avanoorkar, who helped organise the day, explains: “Every Indian feels the joy of lights, hope and new beginnings when celebrating Diwali and candles are common details these days. I am happy to be part of this enlightenment of my culture here at our head office.
Diwali, one of the most popular Hindu festivals, is celebrated by people all over the world. Also known as the festival of lights, it symbolises the victory of good over evil. This is India's biggest and most important holiday of the year.
“At Strawberry, we share a tradition and culture of doing more than is expected — for our guests, employees, the community and the environment. Coming together to celebrate a festival like Diwali is just one example of what we do to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace,” says Anant Vithlani, Vice President Sales at Strawberry, and with Indian heritage.
